Lives are Going Missing

When someone goes missing, it is a grave and serious matter. The correct authorities step in and caring strangers flood the internet in hopes of lending a hand.

Within the Topical Steroid Withdrawal community, we face a similar desperation. We are also missing -- in medical textbooks, in research studies, in the reflections we see in the mirror and in the activities of our past day-to-day lives.

In 2025, we have yet to secure accurate diagnostic criteria, an ICD-10 code for medical professionals to input a diagnosis, a re-evaluation of topical steroid products, a max dosage and warning of TSW on topical steroid labels, or even the understanding among healthcare providers of how deeply traumatic this journey can be on ourselves and loved ones.

Sometimes you have to appeal to higher authorities in order for an issue to be properly addressed. Help save us and the generations to come by spreading awareness and connecting with your local elected officials to ask for a Legislative Resolution to help move progress forward. Not one more person should disappear from this preventable, medical injury.
